The product focuses on producing an eco-friendly plant growth promoter, utilizing natural extracts to convert selenium into a nano compound. This nano-selenium (Nano-Se) enhances plant growth, stress tolerance, and secondary metabolite production, particularly in medicinal plants. The production involves dissolving sodium selenite in distilled water, adding extracts from mint leaves, mustard seeds, and garden cress, and stirring to create nanoparticles, indicated by a color change. Tests on marjoram plants under salinity stress revealed that Nano-Se significantly improved growth and biochemical parameters compared to control and bulk selenium treatments. Mint extract showed the best results among the three extracts. Overall, Nano-Se is deemed a safe, eco-friendly option for enhancing the productivity of medicinal plants under environmental stresses and is preferred for its lower toxicity and higher bioavailability in organic agriculture.
